Cartea se adreseaza in mod special celor care studiaza stiintele socio-umane, care pe parcursul facultatii sau studiilor masterale doresc sa dobandeasca abilitati de cercetare si sunt pusi in fata provocarii de natura practica de a gestiona o cercetare empirica, pornind de la tehnici avansate de analiza multivariata, precum analiza factoriala exploratorie (EFA), analiza factoriala confirmatorie (CFA), analiza de cale (PATH) sau modelarea prin ecuatii structurale (SEM).
Am considerat necesara aparitia unui tratat care sa exemplifice toate secventele si operatiile necesare de parcurs pentru astfel de analize avansate, dar si exigentele unor prezentari/redactari de rapoarte utile in scrierea de articole stiintifice. Demersul propus a implicat atat probleme de continut, de metodologie, dar si de forma. Am incercat sa nu uitam nici de aspectele de evidentiere si valorificare a muncii de cercetare, ca produs final.
